DANCE CAMP (Jr. 1-2 Levels)
Classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop allow the dancers in this camp to explore and have fun in a variety of styles instructed by MPA's highly qualified faculty and Professional Guest Staff.

JR. INTENSIVE (Jr. 3-5 and PP1 Levels)
This is an amazing opportunity for the younger dance student to study dance intensely for two weeks, one week, or select specific classes. The students will work with our outstanding faculty and visiting professional guest artists. This is a unique chance to experience classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Variations, Choreography and more! In these classes the students will work on technique, strength, and also learn repertoire for a performance on the last day.

PROFESSIONAL GUEST INSTRUCTORS:

Robert Mckee- Director of Inaside Chicago Dance Company (July 9-13)
Robert Mckee, attended Point Park University and is a former company member of Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. He has been a guest dancer and choreographer most recently with Chicago Dance Crash, Cerqua Rivera, and other Independent projects. Robert began an interest in teaching and choreography at a very young age. Influenced by percussive rhythms and dynamic shapes, he finds himself always inspired to create. Robert has been on faculty at the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, a teacher for Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and teaches throughout the Chicagoland area. He has worked with Rockford Dance Company, The Giordano Project, Giordano Juniors, McDonald Dance Academy, Barrington High School, Northshore School of Dance Performing Ensemble, the Giordano on Giordano choreography showcase, Riverside Brookfield High School, Northern Illinois University and Framework Dance Chicago. Currently Robert serves as the Artistic Director of Inaside Chicago Dance.


Jacqueline Moscicke- Dancer in The Joffery Ballet
(July 16-20)

Jacqueline Moscicke joined The Joffrey Ballet in 2010.  Ms. Moscicke grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin. She started her training at the age of five at To The Pointe Dance Studio. She continued her training at Milwaukee Ballet School on full scholarship under the direction of Bobby Ball and Rolando Yanes. Her most influential teacher there was Jeanette Makaroff. Ms. Moscicke is a graduate of the Milwaukee Ballet II program and was hired into the Milwaukee Ballet Company in 2005.  Since joining the Joffrey, Ms. Moscicke has danced many roles in ballets including William Forsythe's In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated; Gerald Arpino's Viva Vivaldi; Antony Tudor's Lilac Garden; Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake; and Yuri Possokhov's Bells. Ms. Moscicke was also in William Shatner's documentary Gonzo Ballet choreographed by Margo Sappington.

CLASS INFORMATION: Participants will work on technique, choreography and audition etiquette to prepare them to audition at their  best! Girls wear black leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes, hair in bun.  Boys wear white t-shirt, black tights and shoes.

AUDITION INFORMATION:All dancers should arrive 30 min. prior to audition in ballet attire. See MPA website for attire requirements.  Audition Fee of $20 per individual or $30 per family due at time of registration.Pre-registration is greatly appreciated. Visit the MPA office during business hours to pick up registration form and to get measured.
