The Concert

The goal of this event is for our young dancers to present the community with a beautiful dance concert, while also getting involved and supporting a good cause. All ticket sale proceeds of the dance concert will go directly to the cause and for paying our venue. Additional donations by cash or check are gladly accepted.
The Cause
Breanna's Gift
Breanna’s Gift is an arts program offering dance, visual arts, music, and performing arts opportunities at children’s hospitals and home-away-from-home facilities around the country that began in 2008 at Children's MN in St. Paul. The organization covers all costs including teachers’ compensation, costumes, dance shoes, and supplies needed for art, dance, music, and performing arts. Their mission is to bring smiles to the faces of children with cancer and other serious illnesses through the magic of the arts. The entire Breanna’s Gift program is free to all participants and the facilities they serve.
Breanna's Gift has been providing classes to the UW-Madison American Family Children’s Hospital since 2017. They offer two programs to meet the needs of the children. One is Art Takeout, which is a series of individual art classes in a box designed with project instructions and supplies. It is specifically for children too sick to leave their hospital rooms to join group classes. The second program is Art Take2, a program created in May of 2020 to provide a new way to bring the arts to children. It is a library of art class videos along with supplies needed for the follow-along classes. This is an ongoing library that includes all classes that are brought live to the children.

YPG dancers are selling tickets individually and a limited amount of tickets are available at the front desk. Tickets will also be sold at the front of the house before the performance.

*Children under 2 that will be seated on a parent's lap are free.
