Announcing our new photographer EPS Photos!

 

This year photo sessions will be individual photos only, unless specifically contacted by the MPA Staff to take part in a group photo. You will making your own personal appointments with the photographer via sign up genius. Small groups such as siblings or friends are allowed but are up to you to schedule and organize. Please refer to pages 12-13 in the Spring Concert Informational Packet or scroll down for more detailed information about our new photographer and how this year's photos will be handed.

DRESS REHEARSAL

MAY 19-23, 2023
AT RIVER ARTS CENTER


Please refer to pages 3-4 in the Spring Concert Informational Packet for your specific dress rehearsal schedule assignments. Arrive 10 MINUTES prior to your rehearsal time with hair and make-up done. THE TIME ON THE DRESS REHEARSAL LIST IS THE TIME YOU ARE ON STAGE. If you are late, you have missed your rehearsal!

 

Please read the informational packet for more information on protocols and requirements to keep dress rehearsals running smoothly and organized. We are planning to run on time.

Please be respectful of our host theater. Clean up after yourself.

COSTUMES & MAKEUP

In the Spring Concert Informational Packet, please refer to pages 8-11 for your costume, hair, and make-up requirements. We've included video and written tutorials on how to apply the correct make-up and how to create a low ballet bun. 

Make sure you are safely storing costumes and have all the required accessories, tights, shoes, and undergarments before the show. We strongly recommend putting your name on all your items as well. MPA sells tights, shoes, and nude leotards at the studio for your connivence.

PHOTOS & VIDEOS

For the safety of the dancers and as a courtesy to the audience members around you, photography and videotaping of any kind during the performance is strictly prohibited. This includes Phones, iPods, iPads and all other devices.

 

A professional video of the performance will be available for purchase. See page 14 in the Spring Concert Informational Packet for more information. Order now and save $5 on this year's event! Relive the excitement of your recital with a keepsake video. Mr. Video has you covered with HD Downloads and DVDS. Sit back and enjoy the performance and let Mr. Video professionally capture every moment. Purchase can be made online. 

PROGRAM ADVERTISING

MPA will be providing a program guide during the show, and we are giving you the opportunity to advertise in the program. This advertisement will help produce MPA’s wonderful show and sponsor the arts in the Waunakee and surrounding communities. This is a great way to get value from your advertising dollars.


Ads will be for sale starting with a 1/4 page for $50 and gradually increase from there. MPA has cover pages available in color starting at $100. Attached is an example of advertisement sizes for you to choose from.


We hope you will help us in making MPA’s Spring Concert of Dance a success. This is a great way to get involved. If you need help creating your ad, all imagery and text must be handed in by April 22nd. If you already have a designed ad with no editing needed, these must be handed in by May 6th. All program ad submissions and any questions can be submitted to Jessica at jessica@mpadance.com.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

We ask that each family sign up for a volunteer position. The success and safety of this event is of the most importance and we cannot do it without your help. We thank you for your help!

FLOWERS & T-SHIRTS

NEW THIS YEAR! MPA will be selling Spring Concert T-Shirts with the show logo on the front side and all participating dancer names on the back side. These will be available for pre-order and at the venue the day of the show. Flower bouquets will also be available for pre-order and the day of the show. These items can be purchased separately or as a bundle. There will also be other fun dance items for sale to purchase as gifts for your special dancer on their special day! See page 19 of the informational packet for more information.

Photo Days Detailed Information

May 18 - 22, 2024 at Midwest Performing Arts Studios

Group Photo Schedule:

Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 3:00pm: All Pointe Dancers

Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 3:30pm: All Youth Performance Group Dancers

**No appointment needs to be scheduled to take part in the above group photos, simply arrive in time to participate in the group photo.

You should have received an email with information on how to sign up for photo days. This email came from epsgallery@eps-photo.com. If you have not received this email, please email the School Director.

Step 1: Click on the link in the email to purchase your desired photo package(s).  Simply select the packages you want, hit "Continue", change the quantity of your photo package to the amount desired, & finish checking out.

Step 2: Select your Appt time by using the link in the email to take you to the appt scheduler so you can choose your appointment day and times. **Please note that all appointment times must have an associated photo package. If you book your appt times & do not purchase a photo package, the appointment times will auto cancel from the schedule after 48 hours should a photo package not be able to be associated with the appointment time.

Tips:

  1. DO NOT BOOK YOUR INDIVIDUAL APPT TIMES BACK-TO-BACK!  LEAVE TIME FOR COSTUME CHANGES!

  2. You will need one photo package & one appt time for each costume you will take photos in.

  3. Sibling, friends, or any group photos you wish to have photographed will require their own photo package and appointment time.

  4. Before you sign up for a photo time please be sure to double check the Spring Concert Informational Packet to be sure you sign up in a time where you don't have dress rehearsals at the Sauk Prairie River Arts Center.

What to except Before, During, and After your Photo Session:

BEFORE

  1. Dance Together: To create magic, we ask that you or a family member attend the photo session together with your dancer. Cheer on your dancer & see the images as we take them to ensure your images are exactly how you want them!

  2. Arrival: Be sure to arrive to the dance studio at least 15-minutes before your appt time, in costume with your dancers hair & Make-up ready to go.

DURING

  1. Your Session: Your Individual Photo Session is 5 minutes! Be sure your dancer is warmed up and to shine!

  2. We will take between 20 - 40 images in a few different poses during your photo session to ensure you have a variety of images to select from!

AFTER

  1. Image Selection Made Easy: After the photo session, we'll send you an image gallery via email. Be sure to read this entire email as it has valuable information you will need to place your order...like your Gift Certificate Code to use for the value of the amount you pre-purchased & directions for ordering.

  2. Want to Upgrade your package?:  You're not limited to the package you initially selected when picking your images. You can upgrade or add additional items to your purchase or use your Gift Certificate for something completely different!  Explore our online store, where you'll find hundreds of products, from digital files and cozy blankets to charming mugs, individual prints, stunning wall art, and over 400 other amazing items!  (Our Plush Blankets are Favorite!)

  3. Gallery Access: Your image gallery will be open for six months, giving you ample time to make your selections. After this period, the gallery will be archived. Should you wish to revive it, please note there is a $20 fee for gallery un-archival.

Important Information for Your Photo Session:

  1. Be Sure You also Book Your Appointment Time!: When you book your photo package, you will see a date and time listed! This is NOT your appointment date or time; it's simply the start date of the photo shoot at your studio. You need to select your actual appointment date and time after purchasing your photo package through the link which is provided above.

  2. Multiple Image Packages: If you have multiple children participating or wish to select more images from your session, consider booking one of our Multiple Image/Appointment Packages. For example, our Platinum Package allows up to 4 appointment times, ideal for scenarios like 2 siblings with 2 costumes each (4 appointment times) or a single performer who wants to choose 4 images from their session.

  3. Gift Certificate: You will be issued a Gift Certificate Code for the amount of the photo packages you pre-purchased. . Note that Service Fees, Taxes & Shipping costs are not included in your Gift Certificate amount, only the amount of the photo package itself.

  4. Group Photos: We will be capturing a just two group photos during our time at your dance studio. Individual photos can be scheduled following a group photo for ease. If your group is not listed, your studio has not scheduled it. That's okay though, you can purchase a photo package & book an appointment time for any photos you wish to have taken, including a group of dancers, siblings & of course any individual photos you wish to take of your dancer.

  5. Photo Packages & Appointment Times - IMPORTANT! if you book your appointment times and do not purchase a photo package for each appointment time, those appointment times will auto cancel from the schedule after 48 hours if it does not have a photo package associated with it.

  6. Policy: No refunds will be issued for no shows, missed appointments or late arrivals. If you are late to your appointment, it will still end at the original end time. Reschedules are only possible if there are open appointment times on the schedule of this photo shoot. Please note that any cancellations must be done in writing a full 24 hours in advance of the photo shoot to orders@eps-photo.com. We are not able to offer refunds for any reason outside of this window. Additionally, No Refunds on appointments which have been moved from a previous booking time and then cancelled.
